Kellogg West Conference Center and Lodge (Cal Poly Pomona, Campus)

Healing the Heart honors those who have given hope and dignity to survivors of sexual violence and child abuse in the East San Gabriel and Inland Valleys. Last year, with the support of organizations, businesses, and caring individuals, we were able to assist 56,552 people in all of our services and programs!

Honorees

Soroptimist International logoProject Sister Family Services proudly honored the Soroptimist International of Whittier with our Founder’s Award for their participation in the development and implementation of the SART Program at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. This group has conscientiously provided fresh clothing and toiletries for rape victims who undergo forensic medical exams as a part of the evidentiary process that is vital to the conviction of sexual assault perpetrators. It is the tradition of Soroptimist International to work toward improving the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. We are so fortunate to be in partnership with the Whittier Chapter of Soroptimist International who have been so active on behalf of the women and girls we serve each and every day.

Entertainment

This year guests were treated to an evening of Mystery and More... The Murder Mystery Players of the Inland Empire offered a real You-Done-It crime with audience participation. We were also proud to present the vocal stylings of Jonnie Owens who is a long-time supporter of Project Sister Family Services. Guests enjoyed music provided by Music Entertainment Services. Other festivities for the evening included a delicious dinner and a silent auction.
