sexual assault crisis

and

prevention services

Project Sister Family Services (PSFS) strives to reduce the trauma and the risk of sexual assault, child abuse, and child sexual abuse in the East San Gabriel and Inland Valleys of Southern California by providing a variety of crisis intervention services and outreach and prevention programs.

Become a donor

Your tax-deductible donation helps us to eliminate sexual violence; help survivors of sexual assault return to healthy, productive lives; and educate the community. Mail us a check or use our secure online Donation Center (powered by PayPal) to contribute to Project Sister Family Services (PSFS) with your credit card.

In addition to direct contributions, read about other ways to provide needed funding to PSFS below:

  • Employer matching gifts
  • Monthly pledges
  • Planned giving
  • Donate while you shop at Albertsons and Ralphs
  • Donate while you search the Internet with GoodSearch
  • Designate money for sexual violence victim services on your tax return
  • Give through the United Way
  • Donate a vehicle

Matching gifts grow donations

Many employers help to support their employees’ favorite charities through company-sponsored matching gifts programs. To find out if your company provides matching gifts, contact your human resources department. If matching gifts are offered, you will be instructed as to how to set the process in motion at your company. In this way, your personal donation to Project Sister Family Services may be doubled (or more!), depending upon the policy of the corporation. Your donation to Project Sister Family Services will provide even more urgently needed services and programs to our community through your partnership with your workplace.

Monthly pledges

A pledge is a great way to give a donation that will really make a difference, because monthly donations, while presenting a very comfortable way to give, quickly add up. For example, a monthly pledge of only $50 will add up to a total of $600 by the end of the year! By making a generous pledge now, you are helping to ensure that Project Sister Family Services will be ready to respond in the coming year when survivors of sexual violence and child abuse call for help.

It's simple to make a pledge to Project Sister Family Services. Click here to download a form (in PDF format) that you can fill out and mail to Project Sister Family Services, P.O. Box 1390, Claremont, CA 91711. Pledges can be mailed in regularly or you can authorize PSFS to charge your credit card on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Designate $1 or more for sexual violence victim services on your tax return

California State Assembly Bill 190 was authored by Assemblymember Gloria Negrete-McLeod (D-61st District) and passed in 2005. It allows taxpayers to designate $1 or more to a new California Sexual Violence Victim Services Fund through a voluntary “check-off” box on their annual tax return. Your donation will be used to further the services provided by California’s rape crisis centers. Your small donation will combine with many others to create tremendous impact on our communities through Project Sister Family Services’ programs. Please look for this box on your tax form when you fill out your next tax return, and check off the box to make your donation.

Give through the United Way

Designating a gift to Project Sister Family Services through payroll deduction during the annual United Way campaign is a great way to make a difference in our community all year long! Project Sister Family Services is a participating agency of Mt. Baldy United Way, Combined Federal Campaign of Los Angeles County, Combined Federal Campaign of San Bernardino County, and the California State Employees Charitable Campaign.
